Grace United Church
In June 1996 a two point charge was created between St. Luke’s United Church of Sudbury and the newly formed Trinity United Church in Garson. We called ourselves Nickel District Pastoral Charge. Sadly Trinity United Church closed its doors in May 2017 and entered into amalgamation discussions with St. Luke’s. On January 1st 2018 our two churches amalgamated and adopted Grace United Church as our new name and retained St. Luke’s United Church building as our home. Our church is friendly and active, welcoming newcomers with open arms. Please read the history of each church by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page.

Grace United Church Mission Statement
We are called to be a welcoming place to worship God and grow in faith. We provide spiritual leadership and fellowship, embracing all. Our caring congregation reaches out into our greater community to do God’s work.

First Nations Acknowledgement
Each Council Meeting and Official Board Meeting begins with the reading of our First Nations Acknowledgement:
For thousands of years, First Nations have walked this land and the land is the centre of their spirituality. We are gathered on the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishawabek and acknowledge their stewardship of the land throughout the ages.

Sunday School is held each Sunday during the worship service and a Supervised Nursery is also available every Sunday.
Our congregation enjoys Fellowship and Coffee following the service with a light lunch provided by Al’s Café. Fairtrade Coffee is served each Sunday and at special events.

PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) Besides being convenient, using PAR for your offering ensures regular monthly givings to help our church’s ministry even when you are away. You will be providing our congregation a dependable flow of contributions, which increases our overall financial stability. Why not participate in PAR? for further details, or to sign up, please speak to Laurie Aubertin.
